Travel and Accommodation Expenses

1. Travel Expenses
   In principle, all participants must bear their own travel expenses. However, the Organizer will provide participants with travel expenses as specified below.
   
   
2. Competition participants residing outside Japan
   For these participants, the Organizer will provide economy class airline tickets (round-trip) from the international airport nearest to their home to Kansai International Airport (Osaka) or designated Airport.
   Participants must enter and leave Japan using the flight specified by the Organizer. Participants must bear the expense of bringing their instruments to Japan, except for cellos.
   
   
3. Festa participants residing outside Japan
   For these participants, the Organizer will provide the following amounts of financial assistance:
   (1) 75,000 yen to each participant residing in the Asia region; and
   (2) 150,000 yen to each participant residing in any other part of the world.
   Note: The above financial assistance is subject to taxation as stipulated by Japanese tax laws, and will be paid in Japanese yen.
   
   
4. Participants residing in Japan
   For participants residing in Japan more than 300 km from the venue, the Organizer will provide 20,000 yen.
   Note: The above financial assistance is subject to taxation as stipulated by Japanese tax laws.
   
   
5. Lodging facilities
   The Organizer will cover lodging facility expenses for all participants for the period described below,provided they stay at the facilities specified by the Organizer. Expenses for food, transportation,communication, etc., however, must be borne by the participants.
   
   
6. Covered expenses for participants eliminated before the Final Round
   For participants eliminated before the Final Round, the Organizer will cover their expenses from two days before the 1st Round (Preliminary Round) in which they participate until the morning two days after the 2nd Round (Preliminary Round).
   Note: This article also applies to participants who do not qualify for the 2nd Round.
   
   
7. Covered expenses for participants in the Final Round
   For Final Round participants, the Organizer will cover their expenses from two days before the 1st Round (Preliminary Round) in which they participate until the morning following the Prizewinners Concert.
